Eulogy to Frankenstein’s Monster

Let the ashes carry to the river:
what is shame
to a soul dispersed?
Folding in the dust,
bones cannot uncover bones:
cannot augment a heart
taken by fire.
In ruin, we are blameless
of what remains;
we all reek of the same dust.
