What I’ve Become

The helpless soul, I’ve known,
Is blind to what was, once,
So still, I know, to what
Is, and so will be, yet
I fret, so help me, if
I can be saved, to know
The place, afar, to come,
To search—seas where I, from
Content misery, have
Trifled wayward to death—
To find what I’ve become.
